Lira celebrates her first decade
Lira will celebrate her first decade in the music industry with a spectacular show at Carnival City, on Friday and Saturday,November 29 and 30.
With five studio albums, two live DVDs, two live CDs and multi-platinum sales, Lira is one of the biggest names in the business and has much to celebrate since making her debut 10 years ago.
She has become one of South Africa’s iconic songwriters and performers and has many Sama awards and nominations to her credit.
Lira is no stranger to performing live at Carnival City; the DVD of her 2009 concert went on to achieve triple platinum sales and won the award for Best Global Chart DVD at the 2010 Samas.
Of her first decade celebration, Lira said: “It will be a three-tier experience for the fans.
“As an artist, I communicate what I value the most, love, celebration and inspiration; it is through these three things that fans can engage with me, through my recorded music, my live performances and my soon to be released biography.”
Seeing a Lira concert is always a special occasion, celebrating her first decade, as she herself says,“is going to be spectacular, a beautiful presentation of music and dance reflecting on the last 10 years.”
Lira’s First Decade concert will start at 8pm on both Friday and Saturday, in the Big Top Arena, Carnival City.
