Take your seat for a night with Kem
Local fans of the internationally acclaimed R&B and soul singer and songwriter, Kem, can look forward to an intimate show with him.
“A night with Kem – live in South Africa” takes place at Carnival City on Saturday and Sunday, September 20 and 21.
Presented by Massive Events Live, in partnership with B3, Mzansi Magic and Kaya FM, the concert in Carnival City’s Big Top Arena will feature some of Kem’s greatest hits from throughout his career, including soul-soothing songs like Love Calls, I Can`t Stop Loving You, Share My Life, You`re On My Mind, Say, Heaven, and Without You.
With a series of gold and platinum status albums behind him, the Detroit-based Universal Motown Records singer, songwriter and producer has just completed his much anticipated fourth album.
Fans could get to hear some of the songs from the album, Promise To Love.
Jaco Saaiman, the entertainment manager at Carnival City, said they are thrilled to host the multi-platinum selling artist.
“It promises to be a magical show as Kem takes his fans on a spectacular journey of the songs that have made him famous the world over,” he said.
Kem was signed by Motown Records in November 2001 and followed his debut release with a second album, Album II, released in 2005.
It included the hit single I Can’t Stop Loving You and the song You Might Win, featuring Stevie Wonder on harmonica.
In June 2014, Kem released his new single, entitled It’s You.
The track was composed and written by Kem himself and appears on Promise to Love, which was scheduled for release in August, this year.
The Saturday show starts at 8pm and the Sunday show at 5pm.
