Daveyton resident pursues his musical dream

Kwaito artist Malibongwe Sithole, better known as Mally, vows to change the kwaito scene.

Mally recently released his latest single called Sbizelwe ft Skhokho.

He promoted his upcoming album Malination.

The album is set to be released on September 29 at Emperors Palace.

“On the album, I’ve collaborated with Alaska, Skhokho, AB Crazy and Mshoza just to name few,” said Mally.

“Listeners can expect a distinctive sound and style.

It’s Afro House music at its best.”

The 34-year-old said his music is influenced by the likes of legendary maskandi artist Phuzekhemisi, the late legendary Jazz musician Ray Phiri and the late singer Lebo Mathosa.

Mally is currently signed under Jozi Records.

The Daveyton resident said he has been creating music from a very young age and his mother encouraged him to pursue his dream.

At the age of 16, he was already exposed to the music industry.

Besides being a musician, Mally is also an MC and motivational speaker.

Mally added he is bringing a new taste and sound, which will be a mix of culture and kwaito, to form a new sound of Durban music.

He said his love for music, family, his mentor Loyiso Ngavu and being on stage motivates him to push himself to succeed.

When asked how he plans to stay relevant in the industry Mally said: “Consistency and respect for the industry will take you far.”

His message to the youngsters is to remain humble, work hard and always show respect in order to make it in the entertainment industry.
