The launch of Ayaana Couture culminated with a fashion extravaganza at the Durban, Hilton Hotel on 25 November.

Marrying Avina’s design talent with Maryam’s seamstress skills, Ayaana Couture’s debut collection is an ode to love. The duo have effortlessly infused Indian craftsmanship and textile heritage with western tailored silhouettes. The launch collection tells the story of the coming together of two people through their bridal retinue and contemporary range.

Ayaana Couture is centred on extracting the very best of classic tradition and iconic floor sweeping designs, while customizing each gorgeously embellished piece to strike a magical balance. Their collection encapsulates the finest details, all set off against breath-taking chiffons, velvets and pure silks, employing the hand method of Chikankari, Zardozi and mirror work.
