Industrial expo praised
Plans are already in the pipeline to make the 2015 event a huge success.
THIS year’s KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition (KITE) has been a real triumph for the event’s organisers.
KITE, which provides a platform for industry movers and shakers to gather and share new ideas, network and launch new products, has long been a staple of the industrial calendar. This was the 15th year for the biennial event, which saw the launching of its first ever free seminar programme. The seminars were open to all visitors, and contributed greatly to the positive reaction from the exhibition’s attendees.
Exhibitors had nothing but praise for the event. Mahendra Gangai, speaking on behalf of Magnet, complimented the event for its value in providing a good platform and foundation for students to get exposure to technology and gain insight into a career in this field. In his feedback for the exhibition, Leon Strydom of Konecranes underlined the importance of the event for his company as a showcase for new products, and as an opportunity to invite customers to the show, enabling them to interact with them. Several big business names, including Future Packaging and ESKOM, have stated their intent to return to the next KITE event in 2015.
The KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition routinely attracts important buyers, managers, government officials and directors. Overall, the fifteenth KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition was deemed by organisers and exhibitors alike to have been a great success. Already, plans are underway for the next exhibition to be held in 2015, and it promises to continue the event’s legacy of expanding and improving with every year.
