Guests go hat mad at charity ball
The Jes Foord charity ball saw guests step out in Mad Hatters' themed outfits for an evening of fun and entertainment.

THE Jes Foord Foundation’s Topsy Turvy Charity Ball in Association with Netcare was a resounding success with guests getting in touch with their quirky side and stepping out in Mad Hatters’ themed outfits.
On arrival, guests enjoyed sparkling wine in the Docklands Hotel’s beautiful courtyard and posed for the official photographs by Adrian Shields. Sam Cowan from Highveld Stereo 94.7 compered the jam-packed evening of entertainment which included a Jes inspired topsy turvy “backwards dinner” serving dessert as starters. Comedian Jem Atkins and a charity auction by Rob Thunder formed part of the programme. Musician’s Calli Thompson, John Ellis and Francois Hardy, as well as, DJ Vivian Westergreen had the guests on the dance floor until early hours of the morning. Once again the photo booth was a big hit.
The essence of the foundation was captured in Jes’ speech which reflected on the last five years of growth. An emotive DVD produced by Jonsson’s Workwear followed the crowning of this year’s ‘New Beginnings’ Princess by the very tenacious 2012 Princess. Both these inspiring women are rape survivors who have been guided, supported and counselled by the Jes Foord Foundation.
