Get rid of e-waste
Get rid of your appliances and battery operated items responsibly this e-Waste Day.

ANYTHING that uses batteries or runs on electricity from appliances and phones to toys and TVs become e-waste when it reaches the end of its life span.
Recycling e-waste recovers valuable materials for re-use and helps prevent pollution of the sea and soil. Furthermore, the growing e-waste sector creates jobs.
EWASA, the e-Waste Association of South Africa is holding a collection day on Saturday 19 October from 9am until 2pm. The public is urged to take any e-waste they may have which can include toasters, video and DVD players, washing machines, stoves, fridges, irons, printers, computers, laptops, cables, power supplies, cellphones and telephones, charges, scanners, fax machines, TV and toys to their nearest collection point.
Collection points in Durban will be at Makro Springfield, Makro Clairwood and PC Undertakers 394 Bluff Road.
