Berea police held a successful awards ceremony and staff year end at DLI Hall last week.

BEREA police held an award ceremony and Christmas year end function at the DLI Hall last week.

Awards were given to the Sports personalities, Long Service and special awards for Best Service at the station.

Colonel Nathaniel Kweyama, Station Commissioner at Berea said, “Special recognition goes out to all my students and also Louise Molyneaux, my Iron Lady who keeps us in her prayers daily.”

Acknowledging he was a perfectionist, Kweyama told officers that each Station Commander comes in with a new managing style and said he appreciated the support of staff with the changes that he had made over the year. “I wish all of you a merry Christmas,” he concluded.

Grant Smith, who is also vice-chair of the CPF Sector 5, thanked the police officers for their continuous hard work and wished them well over the festive season.

Lieutenant PN Naiddo, Communications Officer at Berea said members thoroughly enjoyed the festive event and thanked Captain Thomas Naidoo and his team for putting the function together.
