Undercover agent flushes out drug dealers

An undercover operation between Enforce and Berea SAPS led to the arrest of a drug dealer.

AN undercover operation by Enforce Security to root out drug dealers in Floriday Road resulted in the arrest of one suspect and the confiscation of 12 straws of cannabis.

Enforce, deployed an undercover agent in the street to gather information over the course of a week which revealed that narcotics were being sold on the corner of Holden Avenue and Florida Road.

On Thursday 10 April, a three man team from Berea SAPS, an Enforce manager and the undercover agent acted on the information gathered and arrested one suspect with 12 straws of cannabis.

After the arrest the suspect led the team to a derelict building on the other side of Ridge Road where many vagrants and suspected criminals were squatting. Law enforcement dealt with these individuals.

“The drug problem on Florida Road is an ongoing challenge, but we will not let it drag the image of the precinct down. We will continue to tackle the problem head on until drug dealing on Florida Road is eradicated,” said Florida Road precinct manager Gray Braatvedt.

The Florida Rd UIP thanked and congratulated the Berea SAPS and Enforce for their efforts.
