Man wanted in connection with park rape

The police urge the community to be on the lookout for a man involved in a recent rape.

THE Brighton Beach Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is urging the community to be on the lookout for a man involved in a recent rape of a woman in a park in ZK Mathews (Nicolson) Road.

According to the police, one of the perpetrators was described as man of approximately 30 years of age, tall in height with a muscular build and medium complexion. His hair was cut in a table top style and at the time of the incident he was unshaven, with a stubble beard.

The man was involved in the rape of a woman on 10 April, just past midnight. A woman had run out fter her kitten which had jumped out of the window and found herself in a park in ZK Mathews (Nicolson) Road, Glenwood. She was overpowered by two men who severely beat her, burnt her with cigarettes and sexually violated her.

The community is encouraged to be on the lookout for this man and report to the police should they see him or hear of any person who might have knowledge of this incident.
