Business studies competition for pupils

The MANCOSA schools' competition encourages business innovation.

THE Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA) invites Grade 10 and 11 learners from KZN schools studying business studies to take part in its schools' business proposal competition and exhibition.

Learners have until Friday 29 August to enter and must produce a detailed business proposal in English, which sums up their business idea, explain why their idea would work, reveal what steps they would take to execute their business plan to make it a reality and how they would achieve and sustain a successful business.

The competition is a community outreach initiative by MANCOSA aimed at encouraging the inception of innovative business ideas among learners and fostering entrepreneurship. Finalists will attend an exhibition on 8 October where they will present their proposal before a panel of judges.

Prizes include a MANCOSA bursary and tablet for the winning entrant and the school will benefit from a one-day leadership skills training programme for senior staff members.
