Allan Gray scholarships

Get your applications in for consideration for the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Scholarship.

GRADE 6 learners starting Grade 8 in 2016, have until 12 September to apply for an Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Scholarship.

The scholarship offers access to a tailored entrepreneurial and personal development programme for learners who demonstrate the potential to excel academically, display entrepreneurial talents and leadership traits.

In order to fulfil the Foundation’s core purpose of developing a community of young, responsible future entrepreneurs, the scholarship is awarded to learners who have the desire to engage fully in opportunities provided to them. This opportunity includes a comprehensive financial support system.

Grade 6 learners who successfully complete the application phase will be interviewed and the most deserving candidates will be invited to attend one of the Foundation’s selection camps, the final stage of the selection process. After the selection camp, Allan Gray Scholars offers are made to enter high school in Grade 8 during 2016.

The Foundation aims to promote progress by developing high-impact responsible entrepreneurs. The scholarship is one of two avenues through which they identify and nurture future entrepreneurs who can make a valuable difference to the societal fabric of South Africa.

Visit www.allangrayorbis.org to download an application form, or SMS SCHOLAR and your fax number or email address to 36777 (SMS is free) to have an application form faxed or emailed to you.
