Celebrating teachers

Teachers were celebrated at Junior Colleges Luthuli on 5 October.

TEACHERS are strong role models and many people are privilege enough to have at least that one teacher that they will never forget, the teacher who motivated them to do better or inspired their love for a certain subject.

World Teachers Day, on 5 October, was celebrated in more than 100 countries world-wide when the role teachers play in society was emphasised. Junior Colleges Luthuli honoured their teachers' passion for education in support of the worldwide event.

“This is a special day that offers a chance to acknowledge our teachers and say thanks for all their hard work. They say that a teacher changes the world one student at a time, and what a privilege it has been to be part of the process and also share it with our amazing staff members,” said Martie Vosloo, principal of Junior Colleges Luthuli.
