Join Cows at Midmar
Join the Cow herd for the next Midmar Mile event, and help raise funds for CHOC.
THE CHOC Cows are looking for people to join them swimming the second event in the Midmar Mile next February.
Join the herd and help the Cows reach their goal of 1000 swimming cows for the event on Saturday 7 February. This is the more social event at the Midmar.
The Cows are a fundraising arm of CHOC (Childhood Haemotology Oncology Clinics) and first gathered in 2008. They have raised more than R19 million to date to support children with cancer all over South Africa.
Each swimmer to sign up with the Cows is required to commit to raise a minimum of R2500 for the Cows. You have a year from date of sign up on givengain.org to achieve your target. However, each Moo is asked to make a the effort to raise at least R1000 before Midmar to assist with the cost of the eye-catching cow print costumes.
The Cows will have a ‘kraal’ (marquee) set up before and after the event and invite swimmers to join them.
