Penzance cares

Local charities benefitted from Penzance Primary School's generosity through its Penzance Cares outreach.

PENZANCE Primary School's charity group, Penzance Cares collected close to R100 000 this year for charity.

The collection was handed over to various charities at a special assembly on 1 December.

The residents of TAFTA’s Outspan home as well as the children of Amoah Village each received a special Christmas present. The children from the Amoah Village Aftercare and Homework Centre were also given a Christmas Party. The Butterfly Project received 57 gift boxes for the needy children that visit Roselands. The Durban Child and Youth Care Centre received a new fridge, a microwave, five sandwich presses, two urns and five irons.

The CANSA Association received a tumble dryer, a DVD player and DVDs and 20 sets of colouring books and pencils.

St Theresa’s Home were not present at the assembly, but will be receiving 100 plastic chairs, seven microwaves, seven DVD players, DVDs, a chest freezer and school uniforms.
