Help clean up Wilson’s Wharf
The community is encouraged to join in and help to clean up Wilson's Wharf on Sunday.
RESIDENTS are encouraged to help clean up Wilson's Wharf this Sunday, 15 February from 3pm to 5pm. It only takes few pairs of hands to make a difference, so get involved and help restore the beauty of the area.
Take gumboots, rubber gloves and two black garbage bags to put the rubbish in. If you have a fishing peg to help you pick the dirt up off the ground without having to bend over it will help.
Leon van Zyl has been doing this for the past three months, and has had a few people assisting him.
“All I want is two hours of your time helping to clean up – for the wildlife and for our own benefit,” he said.
Visit the Wilson's Wharf Clean Up page on Facebook, or contact Leon on 082 774 4727.
