MANOR Gardens Kids Lit Quiz teams participated very successfully in the annual competition known affectionately as the Olympic Games of Reading, the International Kids Lit Quiz.
Schools can enter two teams of four, in this competition which tests knowledge of children’s literature. Both Manor Gardens teams excelled. Manor Gardens Primary School were placed first and second in the regional competition out of 39 local school teams, allowing both teams to go forward to the national finals. This was held in Johannesburg, and the teams were placed first and fifth.
As the 2015 Kids Lit Quiz SA champions the Manor Gardens first team will represent South Africa in the World Finals of the Kids Lit Quiz which will be in Connecticut, USA in July this year.
The children have to raise funds for their travel expenses and visas to the USA and once there will be fully sponsored by Kids Lit Quiz USA.
