HOLY Family College pupils recently lent a helping hand at the Nkosinathi Project, a feeding scheme at the Denis Hurley Centre.
Loren Moodley, counsellor at the school said the trip was part of the school's outreach into the community which offered the pupils a chance to see the struggle of many in the community and assist them.
Grade 10, pupil, Siphe Cetywa said the group had all got involved in the school's outreach programme last year. “This is the first time we came to the Hurley Centre and it has been a humbling experience because you get to see to see things you don't see everyday. and get to help homeless people,” she said.
Siphe added the programme helped the pupils carry out the school's ethos of helping out other people in the community.
