UMBILO SAPS is establishing a Youth Desk for 2015 and is looking for dedicated local youngsters to join.
All youth living in Berea, Bulwer, Carrington Heights, Glenmore, Glenwood, UKZN and Umbilo are invited to be part of the SAPS Umbilo Youth Desk for 2015, which is a platform for them to be take an active part in fighting and reducing crime in their schools and neighbourhoods.
All interested youth should approach their headmasters or delegated teachers at their schools to get involved.
Young people living in the community are also welcome to be a part of the Youth Desk and should approach Sgt Beverly Manqele at Umbilo SAPS.
“Don’t sit back and be a victim. Don’t be left out of being a part of such an important cause. The youth are encouraged to take back their schools, streets, parks and shopping centres. Be the change, together we can make a difference,” said Sgt Manqele.
The proposed date and venue for the SAPS Umbilo Youth Desk elections is Tuesday, 21 April at Brettonwood High School at 399 Oliver Lea Drive in Umbilo at 2pm.
