Temporary N2 road restrictions
There will be temporary road restrictions on the N2 between King Shaka International Airport Interchange and the Umdloti Interchange.
MOTORISTS are advised that the N2 Northboundand Southbound carriageways on Section 26 between the King Shaka International Airport Interchange and the Umdloti Interchange will be restricted to one lane only in both directions between 9am on Wednesday, 8 April and 9am on Tuesday, 14 April (6 days and nights), for the joining together of the old and new Umdloti River bridges.
The South African National Roads Agency (SOC) Limited (SANRAL) said the restriction is necessary as a result of the need to prevent traffic using the old bridge while the new bridge is joined to it, and is part of the upgrade of the N2 between Umdloti Interchange and the Tongaat Toll Plaza.
Road users are advised to consider alternative routes (M4 and R102) during this period.
