School’s supervisor retires after 40 years service

Brettonwood bids farewell to employee of 40 years.

BRETTONWOOD High School bid farewell recently to an employee of 40 years, Mr Qwabe.

Affectionately known as Philip, he joined Brettonwood High School in 1976 and was promoted to supervisor for general workers. In 2011 he obtained a certificate of excellence for 30 years in the public sector.

Philip is a proud father and two of his sons who started their education at Brettonwood High School have fared very well. Phumlani, who completed his matric in 2005, is doing his Masters at Durban University of Science and Technology and Ntokozo was recently awarded Top Achieving Student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Law after obtaining 34 As during his course. He was also awarded a scholarship to study at the University of Oxford in England.

After 40 years Philip sent a big thank you to all the teachers that he had worked with during his career.
