Durban anti-xenophobia march met with resistance [VIDEO]

Hundreds of people marched in opposition to the Peace March against xenophobia in the Durban CBD yesterday as xenophobic tensions continue to simmer in the eThekwini region.

While much of the march was peaceful, xenophobia reared its head in sporadic flare ups of violence and disruption.

Protestors opposed to the march chanted calls for foreign nationals to go home and clashed with police while city officials addressed crowds at City Hall.
