Zumbathon rocks Durban
Hundreds of participants enjoyed an afternoon of Zumba, all in aid of CHOC.
ENERGETIC feet pounded the floor and bodies gyrated in time to the music in three separate two-hour sessions in a marathon Zumbathon on Sunday at the DLI hall in Greyville.
Proceeds of the event were donated to CHOC, a charity which offers childhood cancer support. The Zumbathon was sponsored by broadband internet service providers ResiNet.
Eight of Durban’s hottest and most talented instructors strutted their stuff on the stage, leading the way through the Zumba moves for classes filled with beginners and experts of all ages.
Zumbathon organiser Shelley Kreinacke of Cainito and sponsor Warren Bricknell of ResiNet had matching sentiments after the event.
“We would like to thank all participants for expending so much energy all in aid of a worthy cause. Watch this space for news of the next Zumbathon in October!” said Shelley.
