A GROUP of 28 Grade 10 volunteers from St Henry’s Marist College run the Doreen Kolling Lily of the Valley Outreach Programme. Lily of the Valley Children’s Village, based in Hammersdale, accommodates 100 children, abandoned or orphaned due to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The St Henry’s volunteers are currently working on projects to brighten the lives of the children at the home.
Pick n Pay’s KZN Public Relations Officer, Nolan Logan, recently donated a R2 000 gift voucher which was used in conjunction with funds sponsored by Mr Alan Kolling, an alumnus of St Henry’s, to buy stationery for the children. Mr Pottier, a parent at St Henry’s, assisted with getting the stationery at the best prices, through his Pick n Pay Stanger branch.
