Greyville revs things up
Greyville Racecourse will host the Strut Your Stuff Horsepower Auto Show 2015 in May.

DURBAN car fanatics are in for a treat when the first truly interactive auto show, aptly named Strut Your Stuff Horsepower Auto Show 2015 takes place at Greyville Racecourse from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 May.
The interactive auto show will be a first of its kind for Durban and has attracted numerous overseas acts to participate in the grand arena over three days.
Alan Vels, executive director of the Greyville Exhibition and Events Company, said organisers had been planning the show for many months. “We have put together an auto show that includes everything from cars to motorbikes to jet fighters as well as Toys for Boys, but most importantly an opportunity for Durban motor enthusiasts to enter various competitions with their own vehicles over the three day period.”
The show will include a massive display arena with daily shows for petrolheads. Those in attendance will be able to participate in numerous activities which are focused on automotive products.
Included in the three day event are concerts, entertainment, jet fighter fly byes, drive pasts, suicide rides, international drifting teams from Japan and Europe, as well as a play area for youngsters with go karting and several other activities. One unique daily event will be a racehorse competing on the Greyville Race Course against selected exotic cars.
Further announcements will follow over the next few weeks on the international participants who have been secured and how the Durban public can register for the various events that are planned for the three days.
