TWO thieves got more than they bargained for when they were apprehended in Berea recently, while trying to steal a large rubbish bin.
Security Officer, Skhumbuzo Hlabisa, was on patrol in Currie Road when he noticed two suspicious men awkwardly trying to carry a large rubbish bin while walking down the road. Hlabisa immediately called for backup.
Mkhize and Venter arrived within minutes and soon spotted the two suspects a block away. Both suspects were immediately apprehended and handed over for arrest to members at Berea SAPS. The rubbish bin that was recovered was found full of stolen burglar guards.
