McCord staff celebrate Women’s Month
Mc Cord Hospital held an entertaining event to celebrate Women's Month last week.
MCCORD Hospital held a Women's Month celebration recently to acknowledge all retired staff who played a big role in training young women and staff.
Mrs BM Madlala(Nursing Manager) opened the function by reminding the staff about previous matrons who done an amazing job while employed at McCord Hospital. An inspirational talk by Mrs Thoko Shezi an ex-McCord staff member and lecturer of DT College of Nursing followed before staff were entertained by a fashion show. “The staff models showcased Mali Sisya Chium designer clothes, who is also a staff member at McCord Hospital. The guys were also given a chance to showcase their modeling talent as well,” said Mbatha.
A special musical performance by the Hospital's IT Manager, Joe Lewis was also a highlight as well as a theatre stage play by the Social Work Department before lunch was served for all staff and patients
.
