Last chance for fantasy writers

Get your entries in for the Nova 2015, the short story competition run by Science Fiction/Fantasy South Africa.

TIME is running out for entries to Nova 2015, the short story competition run by Science Fiction/Fantasy South Africa (SFFSA), which closes on 30 September.

This annual competition, which has been running since 1972, encourages writing in the science fiction and fantasy field and promotes local talent. Prizes to the value of R5 000 are on offer this year. The final judge is well-known author and technologist, Arthur Goldstuck, who heads the technology research company World Wide Worx, the co-sponsor of the prizes.

Winning stories are not only published in the club's international magazine Probe, but one story will be selected to be translated into Italian, and published in Mondi Incantati, the annual anthology of Riflessi di Luce Lunare (www.rill.it).

Competition rules, details and entry forms may be downloaded from https://www.sffsa.org.za/Nova.html. Alternatively, contact the organiser at nova.sffsa@gmail.com
