SUFFERERS of any type of arthritis are invited to the Arthritis Foundation of SA (KZN branch) to commemorate World Arthritis day, with a free awareness day seminar at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital in the Nurses Residence Hall on 17 October from noon to 3pm.

The seminar will concentrate on Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Lupus. Dr Kannada Moraharin (Ayurvedic) will give an overview of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus and an alternative approach to their treatment.

PHRENAID, the only registered NPO specifically created to provide support to any person affected by Schizophrenia, is partnering with Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners from King Dinuzulu Hospital to present a short seminar to celebrate Mental Health Month.

The seminar titled Schizophrenia – A Family and Community Concern is on 17 October at Westville Methodist Church, 38 Jan Hofmeyr Road, Westville, from 1pm to 4pm.
