More rain predicted

More rain is expected this week and weekend for drought stricken KZN.

KEEP those brollies within arms reach for the rest of the week and weekend as the South African Weather Service (SAWS) is predicting more showers and thunderstorms.

According to Lulama Phene of SAWS, the province recorded around 77.4mm of rain between Tuesday and Wednesday. However, despite the welcome relief over parts of the province, water restrictions remain in place and communities are urged to continue saving water.

Light rains are predicted along the South Coast today (Thursday) with warm conditions setting the scene for thunderstorms. There is a chance of rain in isolated areas of the province on Saturday with cloud cover over most parts of KZN.

Light showers are forecast for the eastern parts of KZN, with isolated showers on Sunday afternoon. Monday promises to be cloudy with showers.
