THE countdown has begun for Durban Girls' High School, which will see 250 learners, staff and coaches arrive in Durban on Wednesday from around the country to participate in this years’ National Girls’ Schools’ Festival.

The festival has two key components: the cultural arena and the sporting arena. The codes featured under culture include art, debating, drama, public speaking and vocal ensemble. The sporting codes are chess, hockey, netball, tennis, touch rugby and squash.
