IT was red carpet night for the matrics of Glenwood High School who looked more like movie stars when they arrived for the highlight on the events calendar, the annual Matric Dance on Friday, 20 May.
The hall was transformed into a Hollywood ballroom which was all part of the theme, A night at the Oscars.
The school band performed on the lawns of the front entrance and entertained the crowds which set a formal tone for the beginning of the evening.
Couples made their way up the red carpet for a formal welcome from Mr and Mrs Pinheiro, the acting headmaster and his wife, and the evening got underway with the traditional first dance.
