Temporary City road closures for AIDS conference

Expect delays around the city this week as roads are closed for the international AIDS Confernce.

THE anticipated 21st International AIDS Conference (AIDS2016) which is scheduled at Durban’s Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (ICC) from 18 to 22 July will see an expected 20 000 delegates from around the world in the city.

Tozi Mthethwa, communications head at EThekwini Municiplaity said residents and motorists are advised to please be aware of the following road closures around the conference.

“Walnut Road will be closed off completely, no vehicles, except delivery vehicles, will be allowed into the ICC and the front entrance, near the Nedbank side of the ICC, will have one lane closed off,” she explained.
