New post for Glenwood’s acting head

Tony Pinheiro has been appointed by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education as the Headmaster of Durban High School.

AFTER 23 years at Glenwood High School, action head, Tony Pinheiro will take up his new post as headmaster of Durban High School this week.

Mr Pinheiro was appointed to his new post by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education.

“We thank Mr Pinheiro for his service as acting headmaster, a role he has conducted with integrity, fairness and compassion. He and the management team have risen to the challenges presented over the past 18 months and we are grateful for this show of strength and commitment in support of Glenwood High School,” said Rob Young, chairman of the governing body.

Young said the sourcing of the best possible leadership for the school is in progess.

“We wish Mr Pinheiro continued success in his career and we offer him our full support in his new role. He has served the school for 23 years and leaves behind a great legacy,” he said.
