Boy (7) knocked over, miraculously resuscitated

After 20 minutes paramedics managed to revive the boy and rush him to hospital.

A seven-year-old boy was critically injured when he was knocked over by a car at the corner of Sparks and Barns Road earlier today.

According to Rescue Care’s Garrith Jamieson, when paramedics arrived they could not detect a pulse, and CPR was commenced.

After approximately 20 minutes paramedics managed to resuscitate the boy and  transport him to Albert Luthuli hospital.

“The trauma team is waiting for his arrival to assist him,” said Jamieson.
