Suspects appeared in court for possession of suspected stolen property, corruption, housebreaking and theft.

FOUR suspects who were charged for possession of suspected stolen property, corruption, housebreaking and theft, appeared in court on Friday.

According to Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central SAPS, on 21 February at around 2pm, Durban Central Crime Prevention Field Unit members followed up on information they received that led to the arrest of the four suspects.

“Members acted on information of a housebreaking that had occurred and they proceeded to Percy Osborn Road in Morningside where the arrested suspects were found in possession of computers, monitors and space TVs. The suspects tried to bribe the police officers and were also charged for corruption,” she said.

Khomo said the property that was recovered had been stolen in a housebreaking in Umgeni Road on Wednesday, 20 February at around 1.46am.
