Metro Police nab suspects, recover stolen goods

Metro Police officers made some good arrests and recoveries over the long weekend.

METRO Police worked hard over the long weekend and made some good arrests and recoveries.

Officers arrested two suspects and followed up on the arrest, which resulted in the update of items recovered after the arrest of another five

suspects, believed to be involved in a housebreaking syndicate in the Cato Manor, Manor Gardens and surrounding areas.

Items recovered included 37 cellphones, five laptops, two Nikon cameras, one Vodafone power bank, one flat top industrial cooker, one Karcher high pressure machine, 10 flat screen TVs, three PlayStations, one DSTV console, one Cannon printer, two Ryobi drills, one air compressor, jewellery and R7 000 in cash. The total value of items recovered was around R300 000.

The suspects were detained at respective SAPS stations.
