METRO Police members assisted by Berea SAPS arrested three suspects in Florida Road on 24 April.
The officers were on patrol in Florida Road at around 7.30pm when they noticed a suspicious-looking white VW Polo with no number plates on the road.
“As they were about to approach the vehicle they called for assistance from Berea SAPS, and Lt Col Blood responded. The officers stopped the vehicle and searched the vehicle and occupants. They recovered 36 packets of dagga and car breaking implements and arrested the three occupants,” said Capt PN Naidoo from Berea SAPS communications.

“They communicated via cellphone about where they could commit these crimes and the men’s cellphones were seized. Good work done by the members, and further investigation will be conducted to link these suspects to other cases,” said Naidoo.
Berea SAPS also made arrests further arrests in the Berea patrol area last week, including cases such as selling of liquor without a licence, common assault, theft out of motor vehicle and culpable homicide.
