Glenwood old boy selected for overseas research workshop
A Glenwood old boy is appealing to the community for a laptop which can handle software such as Autocad and Photoshop.
JOSHUA Hales, a Glenwood High School old boy, is in dire need of a laptop which can handle software such as Autocad and Photoshop.
Joshua matriculated in 2016 with five distinctions, among them 100 per cent in visual arts. Joshua was one of only two South Africans who won awards at the Poland International Art Competition in 2015 and 2016. He attained a distinction at this competition and was ranked in the top 26 in the world in the age group 17 to 19.
Joshua is currently busy with his third and final year of his Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BArch) degree at UKZN Howard College Campus. He has been awarded the Dean’s commendation for years one and two.
He has been fortunate enough to have been selected as one of two students to travel to Sardinia, Italy to participate in the V International Workshop of Landscape and Architecture from 1 to 6 July, a trip funded by UKZN.
Joshua is however in dire need of a laptop, a requirement which will enable him to carry out his research and actively participate in the workshop.
