Man arrested for trespassing

A Blue Security armed response officer arrested a man for trespassing in Hollander Crescent, Morningside.

A BLUE Security officer, acting on information that suspect had been spotted jumping into a property in Hollander Crescent, Morningside, on 26 June, arrested the suspect and handed him over the the police.

Media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said the incident had occurred at around 10.50am. “At the premises our officer found a window to the house had been opened and the suspect was hiding under a mattress. The officer arrested the suspect for trespassing,” Mathios said.

He said team work between the community, the police and security firms was crucial in the fight against crime. .

“We believe this strategy pays off as it enables us to effect swift arrests to get criminals off the streets,” he said.
