Assistance sought by Durban police

The man was informally identified by bystanders as Mandla Dumakude of Newlands.

DURBAN Central detectives are appealing to the community to assist with regards to an inquest they are investigating.

Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central SAPS said on 5 August at about 5pm, the body of a man was found on Umgeni Road.

“The body had no injuries and was taken to the mortuary. The man was informally identified by bystanders as Mandla Dumakude of Newlands, Durban, however his physical address is unknown,” said Khomo.

Anyone with information that might assist the police with information of the next of kin or to solve this case can contact Det Sgt TS Mhlongo on 031 325 4218 or 084 089 2407 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
