Two arrested during Telkom Knockout

Durban Central will continue to arrest suspects who do not behave when visiting the stadium.

THE Durban Central SAPS roving team which was deployed inside and outside Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 2 November, arrested two suspects during the Telkom Knockout quarter finals.

According to Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central, one man was arrested at about 2.30pm in Isiah Ntshangase Street and was charged for unauthorised selling of tickets. He was found in possession of seven tickets. She said the second suspect was arrested at about 5.15pm inside the stadium and was charged for pitch invasion.

“Both suspects will appear in Durban Magistrates Court. Durban Central will continue to arrest suspects who do not behave when visiting the stadium and will continue to prevent the unauthorised selling of tickets. We commend the supporters that came early to the stadium and behaved well,” she said.
