New website for Durban Child and Youth Care Centre
The Durban Child and Youth Care Centre launched its new website recently.
THE Durban Child and Youth Care Centre (DCYCC) recently launched its new website with the hopes of connecting online with communities and bringing supporters together.
Founded in 1905 the DCYCC has over the past 114 years provided professional services and support to thousands of children and their families.
The centre believes in family preservation and thus family reunification is always given focused attention, with the importance of early intervention and preventative work being recognised.
The new website has a new look with improved features for all users, so whether you’re just researching on Child and Youth Care, looking to get involved, want to make a donation or connect with the organisation, this is now all possible in a quick and easy way.
Users will be able to communicate with the organisation through various platforms and get up to date information on what’s happening.

The centre is a long standing charity in the heart of Glenwood that remains a safe haven for thousands of orphans and vulnerable children. At the end of the school year, some children disengage from the organisation and return home for a second chance with their families.
During the school holidays some children are given the opportunity to go home to spend time with their families and return to the centre after the holidays. The sad reality is that the orphans and children that have no where or no one to go to, spend their days at the centre.
The organisation is a home away from home for these children, but giving them the “added extras” comes at a cost.
“We try our best to make this time of the year as exciting as possible for our children, but the challenge is not having enough financial resources available, when we have an annual operating budget of R8.2 million with a shortfall of R4 million in which we need to fundraise. With our new website we aim to increase our visibility and connect with more friends and supporters that can help us give these children a happy and meaningful childhood that they deserve,” said Mandy Goble, Director of the Durban Child and Youth Care Centre.
She invited all friends and supporters, both old and new, to visit the new website: www.dch.org.za.
