Follow these handy tips to ensure you and your little ones have a fantastic New Year's Eve.

WELCOMING the New Year is a breeze when you’re only having to cater for adults, but what about the littlies attending the celebrations? Below are five top tips to help you keep them entertained throughout the evening.

Try out these nifty countdown bags. Each hour, on the hour, your littlies get to open up one of the bags that can contain a treat of your choice, from sweets and small toys to glow sticks and sparklers.

While many children may not be able to stay awake until midnight, give the few that push through a chance to toast to the New Year! You can either do milk and their favourite biscuit or something fizzy and a chocolate.

Take your Christmas tree to a whole New (Year) level. While the adults are having a chat, keep the littlies out of mischief by having them redecorate the Christmas tree with surprise-filled balloons, streamers and a few crackers.

Set up a special corner in your home for your little ones to pop a balloon each hour until midnight. The balloon countdown clock is an absolute must!
