Correction: Society thanks Lions

The Society is encouraging the public to knit beanies and mittens for the project.

THE Sailors’ Society SA apologises to the Cowies Hill Lions Club, following an error in an article in last week’s Berea Mail.

Yvonne de Kock from the Sailors’ Society said the article the society submitted stated that Cowies Hill Rotary Club had collected items for the Society’s knitting for seafarers project, when it was actually the Lions Club.

The Society is encouraging the public to knit beanies and mittens for the project. To get involved, contact Linda van Schalkwyk on office@saiss.co.za or 031 266 0695 or Yvonne de Kock on yvonned@telkomsa.net or 083 282 4810.
