Durban man arrested for trying to shoot his wife
The man appeared at the Durban Magistrates Court on 25 September for attempted murder.
POLICE officers from the Ethekwini District along with Mayville detectives arrested a 49-year-old man for attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms as well as ammunition.
This comes after an incident on 21 September where an argument ensued between the suspect and his wife at their home on Peter Mokaba (Ridge) Road.
The man allegedly drew a firearm and shot at his wife.
“The bullet missed and the wife fled from the house. A case of attempted murder was opened at the Mayville police station for investigation,” said KZN SAPS spokesperson, Col Thembeka Mbele.

He appeared at the Durban Magistrate’s Court on the same day.
