No kidnapping, only robbery, says Ahmed Al-Kadi Hospital

AHMED Al-Kadi Hospital has commented on a video doing the rounds on social media today showing what looks like a kidnapping outside its parking gate.
The video shows a woman standing outside the gate on the pavement, when a car pulls up, a man gets out and pulls the woman towards the vehicle.
Once both of them are in the car, it pulls off, followed by other vehicles.
People from the hospital are seen rushing out after the car drives away.

Posts of the video on social media have stated the woman was kidnapped, however Ebrahim Asmal, hospital manager, has reported otherwise.
Asmal said: “We confirm that there was no abduction or kidnapping on Waterfall Road as per the full video. It was a botched attempted robbery. The incident has been reported to the SAPS.”
A query has been sent to provincial SAPS, however a response has not yet been received.
