Woman (19) kidnapped and raped, police seek information
Durban Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is looking for information regarding a rape and kidnapping case.
DURBAN Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is appealing to the community for information to help solve a case of kidnapping and rape.
Commenting on the case, Sgt Zanele Khomo from Durban Central SAPS said it is alleged that on 16 September at around 4pm, a 19-year-old woman was waiting for her sister by North Beach when she was approached by an unknown man.

“The man greeted her, then forced her into his motor vehicle and drove away, going in the direction of KwaMashu.”
“He took her to an unknown residence, where she was threatened and assaulted when she tried to shout for assistance. She was then raped by the man. She did not manage to get the vehicle registration,” said Khomo.
She said police believe the man they have an identikit of can be of assistance in solving the case.
