Woman robbed at knifepoint, suspects appear in Durban court
The suspects were arrested for robbery and possession of dangerous weapons after mugging a woman in Durban.
TWO men who were arrested by Durban Central police while committing a robbery in Durban, yesterday, 22 February, are expected to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court today for common robbery and possession of a dangerous weapon.
According to Sgt Zanele Khomo from Durban Central SAPS, it is alleged that on Monday, at about 11am, a woman was standing at the KwaMashu taxi rank on Joe Slovo Street in Durban, when she was pushed against the fence by two suspects who threatened her with a knife.

“The suspects searched her bag and took her cellphone.”
“Durban Central members who were patrolling around the vicinity in an unmarked vehicle witnessed the occurrence and swiftly arrested the two suspects and recovered the stolen cellphone. Okapi knives were seized from the suspects,” said Khomo.
The suspects were arrested for robbery and possession of dangerous weapons.
