Elderly man shot in Morningside
Paramedics rushed the man to a nearby hospital for further care.
AN elderly man (70) was left in a critical condition after he was shot on Valley View Road in Morningside on Sunday, November 28.
Garrith Jamieson of Advanced Life Support Paramedics said they received multiple calls about the incident at approximately 5.30pm.

“Paramedics arrived on scene to find a man in his 70s had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was in a serious condition. He was treated by ALS Paramedics on the scene before he was transported to a nearby hospital for the further care he urgently required,” said Jamieson.
The motive for the shooting is unclear.
“At this stage the events leading up to the shooting are unknown, however, SAPS were in attendance, had cordoned off the scene, and will be investigating further,” said Jamieson.
